If you're in the mood to try something truly authentic and full of flavor, Mis Tierras Colombianas in Woodside, NY, is the place to be. Nestled at 54-08 Roosevelt Ave, this Colombian diner offers an inviting atmosphere and a menu that brings the tastes of Colombia right to your table. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Mis Tierras Colombianas is a must-visit for anyone craving hearty, flavorful Colombian dishes.

One of the standout features of Mis Tierras Colombianas is its commitment to authenticity. The restaurant prides itself on serving traditional Colombian dishes made with fresh ingredients and a deep respect for the culinary traditions of the country. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the smells of sizzling meat, rich spices, and freshly cooked arepas, which give a clear sign that you're in for something special.

The menu is extensive, with something for everyone. If you're new to Colombian cuisine, I highly recommend starting with a classic dish like the Bandeja Paisa. This hearty platter is a feast for the senses, packed with rice, beans, fried pork belly, steak, sausage, avocado, and a fried egg. It's not only a meal, but an experience that gives you a taste of Colombia’s diverse flavors. For a lighter option, you can’t go wrong with the Ajiaco, a comforting chicken and potato soup that's perfect for colder days.

Mis Tierras Colombianas also offers a variety of smaller plates and appetizers, making it a great spot for sharing with friends or family. The Empanadas are a crowd favorite, crispy on the outside with a savory filling inside. The restaurant also serves a range of fresh seafood options, including Ceviche made with the freshest fish and topped with a tangy mix of lime and cilantro. These dishes offer a vibrant snapshot of the coastal flavors that are so popular in Colombian cuisine.

What really sets this restaurant apart is the ambiance. The owners and staff at Mis Tierras Colombianas have created a welcoming environment that’s both casual and intimate. Whether you're sitting down for a family dinner or grabbing a quick bite after work, the warm colors, traditional décor, and friendly service make you feel right at home. Plus, the spacious layout and cozy seating arrangements ensure that you can enjoy your meal comfortably, no matter the time of day.

In addition to its food, Mis Tierras Colombianas also boasts an impressive selection of drinks. Colombian coffee is a must-try here, as it’s rich, flavorful, and brewed to perfection. For those who prefer something stronger, the restaurant offers a variety of Colombian cocktails, including the popular Aguardiente, a sweet and potent anise-flavored liquor that pairs wonderfully with the savory dishes.

Customer reviews often highlight the restaurant’s friendly service and consistent quality. Locals rave about the warmth of the staff, which is no surprise given the family-friendly atmosphere of Mis Tierras Colombianas. Visitors consistently mention the generous portions, which make every meal a great value for the money. • Newly renovated. Awesome food great prices. Try the lunch specials more bang for the buck . Lots of flat screens great place to watch the soccer league games. There's a bar if that's your thing. The food was great on my visit. The restroom was very clean. They accept card and cash. Great place to take a family for a Sunday meal.

  • Every time we have the opportunity to go to this restaurant, we take it, it is a must every time we go to Queens. The restaurant is spacious and always has a festive atmosphere, so as soon as you enter you feel at home. They always welcome you with good energy and a nice smile, most of the people who work there are Colombians so they know very well how to make you feel like you're back in Colombia. They also offer the possibility of booking for a large group of people or for an event. The menu is extensive and offers a variety of price options, including a weekly menu that varies depending on the day. They have something to share, from red meats, chicken and seafood in different presentations and preparations. We have tried the bandeja paisa and the Fríjoles antioqueños (my favorite), and the portions are huge, so even with just one plate two can eat. We also ordered the cheese and pineapple empanadas, which were super delicious. The fried fish and the ceviche are pretty amazing too. To have a lulo juice and a aguapanela with lemon, perfect for summer. They also sell cocktails or liquor if you want to drink alcohol. The staff is always very friendly, they know the menu very well and offer good recommendations, and they are always very attentive to everything. Recommended ????????????????

  • My partner and I stopped by for a late-night dinner and were immediately struck by how lively and full of energy the place was. Clearly the spot to be! We ordered the carne encebollado, empanadas, a margarita, and the flan, and everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress (I wish I got her name) was absolutely wonderful. She even helped my partner practice his Spanish! We’ll definitely be coming back and bringing friends next time.

  • Best Colombian Food in Queens! Bistec encebollado, bandeja paisa, chicken cutlet with plantains are our favorites. Nice ambiance, great to watch soccer games. Fresh juices and nice dessert menu - get the churros with ice cream!

  • Great place to eat and good value. I can attest that the customer service here is exemplary. The restaurant is always kept nice and clean no food on the floor and the bathrooms are clean. I come here on Sundays and Weekdays. The food service is moderately fast and the cooking is with great seasoning. Parking around the area is good towards midnight.
